1. Use of any Disclosed Email Address for SilverstoneCIS Newsletter, Press Release and Promotional Information Subscription Circulars
Silverstone sends regular updates by email to registered users and subscribers telling them about new products and services available, as well as interesting news articles and press releases.
There are two ways that you will be enlisted on these mailing lists:
- By supplying your email address through our newsletter subscription form online.
- By registering as a SilverstoneCIS client or client account contact, and/or engaging the production process on any given project’s communication.
If you do not wish to receive information about our products and services or the products and services offered jointly or on behalf of other businesses, please tick the appropriate box on the registration forms.
If you were enlisted through direct subscription or any other means, you are welcome to unsubscribe from our circulars at any time by replying on any mailer received with the message header ‘Unsubscribe’. If you do so, our team will remove your email address from our subscription database as soon as possible.
It is possible that some of our correspondence may be sponsored by approved third parties, and/or may contain promotional information of third party companies or associates’ products and services. Wherever third party information is transmitted, SilverstoneCIS will not take responsibility or subsequent liability whatsoever relevant to the accuracy or credibility of information or offers by these third parties.
SilverstoneCIS will not sell or rent our email subscription database to any outside parties for promotional purposes external of SilverstoneCIS circulars.
When you subscribe to our newsletter or register as a client, we will collect information that is necessary to provide the relevant service. When communicating with us you should at least include your name and an email address to enable us to respond.
We might collect additional information from you when you complete any other forms on our Web Sites or if you contact us with comments or specific requests.
We also collect information automatically about your visit to our Web Sites. The information obtained in this way, which includes demographic data and browsing patterns, is only used in aggregate form. This information may be used for the following:
- to build up marketing profiles
- to aid strategic development
- to manage our relationship with advertisers and
- to audit usage of the Site
2. Use of Client Account Profile and Account Contact Profile Registration Information
When registering a SilverstoneCIS Client Account Profile or subsequent Account Contact Profile, the information submitted will exclusively be used for project management, production and administration purposes.
Personal information shared in these registration forms are viewed as highly confidential, and only when absolutely necessary will limited information obtained through these forms be shared with SilverstoneCIS production partners and third party production associates on a need-to-know basis. Limited information implies the very least information we have to share with production partners or associates in order for them to provide advice, quotations, proposals or services on any given project as and when required.
Any production partners or associates that SilverstoneCIS may involve on projects, who will be exposed to personal or project related information or material, will be subjected to SilverstoneCIS’s Non-Disclosure and Non-Circumvention Agreement for Production Partners. This agreement implies that these partners and associates will adhere to SilverstoneCIS’s Privacy Policy, Refrain from Disclosing any shared information or material to any other third party without SilverstoneCIS’s written consent, and that they will not engage SilverstoneCIS clients directly on projects subsequent to be introduced to a client through SilverstoneCIS.
Although SilverstoneCIS are taking these preventative measures to protect our clients’ and web site visitors’ privacy and interests, SilverstoneCIS will not be held liable in any way or form should any of our staff members, production partners or associates divulge or use information in an inappropriate manner, or if our data security has been breached by external parties illegally. Should this occur SilverstoneCIS will take disciplinary and possibly legal action against individuals or third parties involved, and take any possible steps within reason to remedy the situation if possible, as quickly and effectively as we possible.
3. Use of Information Relayed via SilverstoneCIS Production Briefs or Production Communication Processes including but not all-encompassing Email, Instant Messenger, FTP Transmissions, Verbal Communications.
Before, during and after you engage SilverstoneCIS on a production project, you may need to divulge confidential, sensitive or private information in a variety of ways, which may include any of the listed channels below without being all-encompassing:
- Email Communication
- Instant Messenger
- FTP Transmissions
- Verbal Communications in Person or Telephonically
- Faxed Communications
- Physical Transfer of Information or Material

4. Optional Mutual Non-Disclosure and Non-Circumvention Agreement
If before engaging SilverstoneCIS in pre-project or in-project communications, you may feel that the information you need to share is of such a sensitive nature that the SilverstoneCIS Privacy Policy is insufficient to protect your interests, you may request a Mutual Non-Disclosure and Non-Circumvention Agreement with SilverstoneCIS.
SilverstoneCIS has a standard agreement of this nature available on request. If you have a specific custom agreement of this nature you wish to utilize, please send it through to our account management team for review, possible approval and subsequent implementation.
5. Use of Client Testimonials Obtained After Project Completions
After any given project is completed with the SilverstoneCIS team, we request that our client/s provides us with a project review or client testimonial. This testimonial may be used in part or in full on SilverstoneCIS web sites, and marketing material for promotional purposes.
As part of the testimonial extract it is our standard practice to supply the client’s name and company name along with general geographic information such as City, State/Province and Country, along with the date the testimonial was authored.
Should you feel uncomfortable with the any or all of the signature information being displayed, the testimonial could be signatured in a more anonymous manner subject to your approval. Unless you inform us of any specific restrictions in this regard we will assume your consent to display the signature in full as outlined above.
6. Use of Client Information for the Publicly Viewable SilverstoneCIS Client Index
Whenever you engage SilverstoneCIS on a project, or SilverstoneCIS gets subcontracted by a third party agent or channel partner on a production project, the brand for whom the project is executed, as well as any third party agent or channel partner will be added to our publicly available client register. Reference to our clients may be made in press releases, newsletters, and our public client index online or in other marketing collateral.
This register may contain information such as brand or company name, general geographic information such as City, State/Province and Country, as well as general descriptive information surmising the project brief. Should any or all of this information be unsuitable for public display, please advise the SilverstoneCIS account management team in order to prevent the public listing.
7. Use of Final Production Material as Portfolio Reference and/or as Part of Marketing Collateral
Whenever you engage SilverstoneCIS on a project, or SilverstoneCIS gets subcontracted by a third party agent or channel partner on a production project, the final product/s / material might be displayed publicly, either as part of our portfolio, or in the form of a case study. Our portfolio reference and case studies might be displayed either online on some of our website domains, or be incorporated in some of our offline marketing and sales collateral e.g. Demo CD and Brochures etc. The final product or material might also be incorporated in press releases, newsletters and other publicly available circulars.
Portfolio items and case studies may contain information such as brand or company name, general geographic information such as City, State/Province and Country, as well as general descriptive information surmising the project brief. Should any or all of this information and imagery be unsuitable for public display, please advise the SilverstoneCIS account management team in order to prevent the public listing.
In addition case studies may contain more detailed information regarding the project and the process of execution, however in such instances written permission will be acquired from the relevant client to do this.
8. Use of Cookies on SilverstoneCIS Web Sites
We use cookies to identify you when you visit the one of our web sites and to build up a demographic profile.
A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a web server to a web browser that enables the server to collect information back from the browser. Our use of cookies also allows registered users to be presented with a personalized version of the Site.

9. Links Off SilverstoneCIS Websites or Reference Material
SilverstoneCIS web sites or correspondence may contain links or reference to third party web sites. Silverstone is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites. If you have a question about the privacy policy of those web sites, please visit them directly.
10. Public Forums on SilverstoneCIS Web Sites
You are advised that any information disclosed via public discussion forums, public message boards and/or public news groups that may be available on SilverstoneCIS Web Sites becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
11. Transferring Information Internationally
Using the Internet to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. Therefore, by browsing a SilverstoneCIS Web Site and communicating electronically with us you acknowledge and agree to our processing of personal data as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
12. Notification of Changes
By using a SilverstoneCIS Web Site or Engaging SilverstoneCIS on a Project, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post these changes on our Web Sites. If at any point we decide to use personal information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy under which the information was collected.
13. Privacy Policy Disclaimer
SilverstoneCIS will not be held liable in anyway whatsoever for failure to successfully implement any part of its Privacy Policy in any instance, whether any measure of failure is caused as a result of human error, negligence or insufficient protection to prevent attacks from hackers on its data management system.
Our Privacy Policy has been created to establish best practice guidelines, and our intention to protect our client/s’ privacy by any means possible at our disposal, however in a world where internet and software technology changes rapidly on a daily basis, it is possible that we could unknowingly become exposed from time to time. SilverstoneCIS strives to stay on top of these changes and as we become aware of any possible points of exposure, we will do whatever we can to correct any given breach situation, as quickly and effectively as possible, if possible. We encourage our clients to inform us of any instances where we do not comply to our Privacy Policy, and we will make the necessary corrections as quickly and effectively as possible, if possible.
